NBA: Media: Sixers with Trade Package for Leonard

The Philadelphia 76ers apparently took Leonard seriously in the race for Kawhi and offered the San Antonio Spurs a trade deal. It should contain two players and a pick.

This reports Sports Illustrated. The Sixers want to offer the Spurs Dario Saric, Robert Covington and a future first-round pick for the willing Leonard.

It is unclear which pick this will be – but there is speculation about the unprotected first rounder of the Heat for 2021, which Philly has. Moreover, it can be assumed that these three trade elements are only the basis of a package, as San Antonio will probably demand even more.

Saric is still playing in his rookie contract. There is a team option ($3.4 million) for the 2019/20 season. Robert Covington signed a $62 million four-year contract in Philly in the fall of 2017, three years of which are still outstanding.
