NBA: Durant signs two-year contract with the Warriors

Kevin Durant has apparently decided to stay with the Golden State Warriors and sign a two-year contract there. This was reported by several sources.

The current final MVP will sign a 1+1 deal with the Dubs, guaranteeing them $30 million next season. Durant will then have a player option for the 2019/20 season that would give him 31.5 million the following year.

Due to the contract structure, the Power Forward will earn five million US dollars less in the coming season than with a differently structured deal, but it will be able to become a free agent again in 2019.

This deal is not official yet, as players and the franchise may only agree orally until the end of the moratorium on July 7.
