NBA: Media: Mavericks sign Jordan for a year

The Dallas Mavericks seem to have signed a one-year contract with Free Agent DeAndre Jordan. The salary corresponds to the player option he previously waived.

This is reported by ESPN. Jordan will collect a salary of 24.1 million dollars from the Mavericks for the 2018/19 season. This is exactly the amount his Clippers player option would have been worth for the coming season.

The 29-year-old has long been associated with the Mavs. Before the start of the Free Agency, the Clippers had already negotiated a trade with the Texans. However, no agreement was reached on this, which is why the player is now coming through the Free Agency.

The center has ten years of experience in Los Angeles. Last season he put on 12 points and 15.2 rebounds on average.

This deal is not official yet, as players and the franchise may only agree orally until the end of the moratorium on July 7.
