NBA: Nowitzki probably extends again in Dallas

Dirk Nowitzki is expected to stay with the Dallas Mavericks. According to media reports, the Mavs will soon offer the German a new contract and use the remaining cap space for the franchise legend.

Shams Charania of Yahoo reports that the Mavs for Nowitzki will use the remaining 5 million dollars in Capspace for the German star.

Dallas landed a coup at the beginning of the Free Agency when they were able to get Center DeAndre Jordan from the Los Angeles Clippers. This also became possible because the Mavs before the Free Agency did not take the 5 million team option from Nowitzki and thus had more flexibility.

Nowitzki will also play for the Dallas Mavericks in his 21st season. Last season, the German played 77 games in which the 40-year-old played 12.0 points and 5.7 rebounds on average.
