NFL: Payton loses bet – Saints give up home kit

The New Orleans Saints have to give up their home jerseys in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The reason for this is a golf bet between the two head coaches Doug Pederson (Philadelphia Eagles) and Sean Payton (New Orleans Saints).

Payton announced on Monday that “he lost a bet against Pederson on the golf course”.

The Saints then have to give up their black home jerseys in Week 11 for their home game against Eagles. “We’ll probably wear the white color-rush jersey,” the head coach announced afterwards.

Pederson, on the other hand, is proud of the game he won: “We had a great day, it was fun and exciting. He wanted to hit me and I wanted to hit him.”
