MLB: Yankees have to do without Torres

The New York Yankees have to do without their second baseman Gleyber Torres. The Venezuelan injured his right hip in a 6-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves and was placed on the 10-Day-Disabled-List (DL).

“We hope it will be brief,” said Yankees manager Aaron Bonne on Thursday: “It will probably take until the All-Star break.” The All-Star-Game takes place on July 17th in Washington.

Probably Neil Walker will replace the Second Baseman. Another possibility would be 23-year-old Middle Infielder Tyler Wade. As an emergency solution, all-rounder Brandon Drury could also step in.

With Gleyber Torres, the Yankees won 15 of their last 16 games.
