NBA: 48 million! Nurkic stays in Portland

The Portland Trail Blazers have signed a new contract with Restricted Free Agent Jusuf Nurkic. This was announced by the franchise on Saturday night.

As usual, the terms of the contract have not been made official, but according to ESPN it is a four-year contract for 48 million dollars, with only a partial guarantee for the fourth year.

Nurkic, 23, had received a better offer a few months ago, but decided to speculate on even better offers in the Free Agency. However, the market was not too lucrative for most Restricted Free Agents, so it had to settle for this contract.

Nurkic has been playing for the Blazers for about a year and a half. Last season, the Bosnian scored 14.3 points, 9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks for the third-best team of the Western Conference. Previously, Nurkic had played for the Denver Nuggets, but lost his place there to Nikola Jokic.

The Blazers have also strengthened this week with the Guards Nik Stauskas and Seth Curry. Both were officially presented on Friday evening.
