NFL: NFLPA complains about hymn regulation

The players’ union NFLPA has officially complained about the new hymn regulation of the NFL. A statement states that the NFL agreed to discussions and that the problem could be tacitly put aside.

“Our union today filed a complaint on behalf of all players against the hymn rule recently announced by the NFL,” the statement says. “The regulation was introduced without consultation with the NFLPA and is therefore contrary to the collective agreement and conflicts with the rights of the players.

The union stated after the announcement of the new rules that it would review the process. Now an agreement is to be reached with the NFL.

“We have proposed to the NFL to have a discussion with the NFLPA about the new regulation in order to find a solution to the problem instead of immediately seeking a lawsuit. The NFL has agreed to this, and we’re looking forward to it.
