NBA: Media: Heat holding Wayne Ellington

The Miami Heat have secured another year of Wayne Ellington’s services according to media reports. The Shooting Guard will thus remain on South Beach until at least 2019.

This is reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The 30-year-old sniper will collect 6.27 million dollars for the coming season.

The Heat now have a pay roll of 127 million dollars and are thus around 3.2 million in the luxury tax.

Ellington also has a veto right for any trades due to the one-year bird restriction. The shooter played one of his best seasons in Miami last season, with Career Highs in points (11.2) and triple (39.2 percent).
