Isaiah Thomas will sign with the Denver Nuggets according to media reports. The Point Guard, who last played for the Los Angeles Lakers, signs a contract for one year in Mile High City.
This is reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Thomas is to receive about 2 million dollars for the coming season. According to Woj’s sources, IT met with nuggets coach Mike Malone and GM Tim Connelly in Las Vegas and reached an agreement.
Malone, who already worked with Thomas in Sacramento in the 2013/14 season, is to schedule Thomas as Sixth Man, who will come from the bank, score a lot and help the team with his playmaking.
The little Guard should be slowly introduced after his hip operation.
Just over a year ago, Thomas, then in the service of the Boston Celtics, had dreamed of a maximum contract, after spending 29 points per game for the Celtics.
But then Thomas hurt his hip and was cycled to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he could never continue his old performances. The Cavs then sent Thomas to the Los Angeles Lakers for the trade deadline, for which he played only 15 games.
