NBA: Blazers dominate final against Lakers

In the final of the Summer League in Vegas, the Portland Trail Blazers celebrate a dominant victory over the L.A. Lakers. Isaac Bonga is also allowed to participate, Josh Hart becomes MVP of the tournament.

Points: Josh Hart (12) – KJ McDaniels (17)

Rebounds: Jonathan Williams (6) – Caleb Swanigan (9)

Assists: Alex Caruso (4) – Wade Baldwin (6)

The first Summer League in history, in which all 30 teams will take part, is over – and the blazers are crowned in Sin City. In a final in which both teams had entered undefeated, there was actually much to be said for an exciting affair, but Portland obviously didn’t feel like it.

They dominated the game from the start and never had to run behind. On the contrary: early in the first half they increased their lead to 10 points, after the change of sides they even grew up to 24 points. With only 3 of 21 triples hit, L.A. lost a way to somehow get back into the game.

Isaac Bonga was on the field for 8 minutes but could not sign up for the scoreboard. Josh Hart received a “consolation prize”: Lakers-Guard was elected MVP of the Summer League in Vegas. He played 24.2 points and 5.2 rebounds in six games for Tinseltown.
