NFL: Darrelle Revis ends his career

Darrelle Revis ends his career after eleven years in the NFL. This was announced by the cornerback on Wednesday on his official Twitter account.

“Today I’m closing a chapter in my life I’ve always dreamed of as a child – and resigning from the NFL,” Revis said in his Twitter post. Afterwards he thanked his coaches, fellow players and coaches who supported him on the way.

The cornerback was under contract to the Kansas City Chiefs last season, but was released immediately after the season ended. Most of his career he spent with the New York Jets, became 2014 with the New England Patriots Super Bowl Champion.

Revis is considered one of the best cornerbacks in NFL history and is a candidate for admission to the Hall of Fame.
