NBA: Nuggets: Porter operated on his back again

Michael Porter Jr. of the Denver Nuggets was operated on his back again. Nevertheless, there is optimism for the coming season.

As Steve Aschburner of NBA.com reports, Porter underwent another back operation last week. The forward was operated on in autumn 2017 after a severe back injury and missed much of the college season as a result.

According to the report, this is a follow-up operation to his known intervertebral disc problems. However, his “camp” is optimistic that he will still be able to play in the coming season. It is not the plan to have him suspend the entire 2018/19 season.

The 20-year-old Missouri graduate was considered a top 3 pick until his injury next year. But because of the question marks behind his health, he slipped to position 14 in the 2018 draft, where the nuggets finally struck.
