Tobias Harris of the Los Angeles Clippers will become a free agent in the summer of 2019. The Clippers have probably offered the forward an early extension of the contract for 4 years and 80 million dollars. Harris must have turned them down.
This is reported by David Aldridge of TNT. According to him, there had been “friendly” negotiations between Harris and the team, but the forward is said to have rejected the offered 80 million dollars for four years. Instead, Harris will finish the season and become a free agent.
In July 2019, Harris could sign with the Clippers for up to five years, earning up to $188 million in total. Other teams could offer a maximum of four years and 145.5 million.
In the coming season the Clippers Harris will pay 14.8 million. The forward did not arrive in the City of Angels until the end of January, when it was part of Blake Griffin’s trade, which sent him to Detroit.
Harris could convince for the Clippers in the episode. In the 32 appearances for Doc Rivers’ team, the Foward scored 19.3 points on average.
