NFL: L.A.: James was the victim of a robbery.

Los Angeles Chargers rookie Derwin James has experienced an unpleasant surprise after arriving in L.A.’s new home. According to media reports, the first-round pick was the victim of an armed robbery.

According to a report by TMZ Sports, James was the victim of the attack on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles in June. The safety was held by two men armed with guns.

The perpetrators stole a necklace and a Rolex. They then stabbed the athlete’s tires to prevent a pursuit. Currently they are still at large.

James was the 17th pick of the drag and was seen by many as a steal at this position. The 21-year-old completed an impressive college career in Florida State and recently signed a four-year contract for $12.39 million.
