MLB: 631! Pujols overtakes Hall-of-Famer

Albert Pujols has beaten his 631st home run in the MLB and is alone in 6th place on the All-Time Homerun List. The Designated Hitter reached the milestone in his Los Angeles Angels’ 11-3 win over the Chicago White Sox.

Pujols beat Starting Pitcher James Shields 2-0 in the second inning for the Angels.

The home run flew to the left field of the Angel Stadium of Anaheim. According to Statcast, the ball flew 430 feet, making it Pujols’ longest home run this season.

It was his 18th in total this year and the first since July 12th when he beat two to catch up with Hall-of-Famer Ken Griffey Jr. on the All-Time List with 630.

In the meantime Pujols was on the Disabled List, from which he was only reactivated on Monday.
