MLB: Superstar injured: Shocker in the Bronx

The New York Yankees had to endure a terrible news on Thursday: superstar Aaron Judge contracted a fracture on his right wrist and is now out of action for weeks. SPOX sheds light on the situation in the Bronx and answers the most important questions.

Aaron Judge suffered a blast fracture in his right wrist at the Yankees’ home game against the Kansas City Royals on Thursday. He was hit by a fast ball of Royals pitcher Jakob Junis and finally had to be replaced after another at-bat (infield single).

After X-rays did not give a clear picture, Judge was immediately taken to hospital to undergo a computer tomography and an MRI. The result is said fracture.

The first prognosis is that Judge, who does not need surgery, cannot swing a bat for three weeks. In fact, the Yankees said that Judge won’t be able to swing a bat back into “a game situation” for at least three weeks. This means that he will probably be able to do light exercises such as beating a tea beforehand.

Furthermore, he may keep himself otherwise fit. However, it is unclear when he will intervene in the game again. It is to be assumed that Judge, as soon as he is given the green light by the doctors, will first do a rehab assignment in the Minor Leagues before he slips over the pinstripes again.
