NFL: 5 years: Vikings extend with Diggs

The Minnesota Vikings have extended their contract with the Miracle Man according to media reports. Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs will therefore be bound to the Minneapolis franchise for another five years and no free agent after the coming season.

Diggs and the Vikings signed a five-year contract on Tuesday, according to a report by Adam Schefter. This was confirmed by reports from NFL Networks Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo.

Numbers have not been mentioned so far, but after a season of 8 touchdowns and 849 receiving yards, Diggs was to become one of the highest paid wideouts in the league. The Maryland product would have become a free agent after the season.

However, the 24-year-old could already have experienced the highlight of his career. In the Divisional Round of expired playoffs, he saved the Vikings into the NFC Championship game with a 61-yard touchdown and clock running out.
