NBA: Media: Cavs get another wingman

The Cleveland Cavaliers have grabbed David Nwaba. The wing player had not received an offer from the Chicago Bulls in the Restricted Free Agency.

This is reported by Shams Charania of Yahoo. However, it is still unclear under which conditions the 25-year-old will come to Cleveland. The Cavs still have their complete mid-level exception of $8.6 million available, but could also offer Nwaba the bi-annual exception ($3.3 million).

With Nwaba’s upcoming commitment, the Cavs would have 12 players with guaranteed contracts in the squad. With RFA Rodney Hood, to whom the Cavs offered the qualifying offer, number 13 could also be added.

Nwaba played a good sophomore season for the Chicago Bulls. The Swingman scored 7.9 points and 4.7 rebounds on average, hitting 34.6 percent from a distance and just under 48 percent from the field.
