NBA: Trade with Rockets? Heat do not want Anderson

Last week there was a rumour that the Houston Rockets might find a buyer for the Ryan Anderson contract with the Miami Heat. But this will probably not happen at first.

According to a report in the Miami Herald, there is no interest among the Heat to accept Anderson’s contract, which guarantees him $20.4 million next season and $21.3 million the following year.

Miami itself continues to look for a buyer for Guard Tyler Johnson, who will earn 19.2 million each over the next two years. Houston would appear to have been interested in trading Anderson and a first-round pick for T. Johnson and James Johnson to improve their off-season thinned wing rotation.

However, the deal will not come about in this form for the time being, even if it could save Miami money. The Heat are not interested in handing over J. Johnson, according to the report.

Houston are still looking for a buyer for Anderson, who played 66 games last season (9.3 points). In the playoffs, the Rockets had little use for the defensive weak Big Man.
