The NBA has announced which teams will meet at the Global Games next season. The Washington Wizards and the New York Knicks are competing in London. The NBA Global Games are a series of games played by NBA teams outside the United States and Canada. The aim is to raise awareness of the league around the globe. Since 2013, such encounters have been marketed as global games.
On January 17, 2019, the Washington Wizards will meet the New York Knicks during the Regular Season. The Wizards thus forgo one of their 41 home games in the Capital One Arena and, strictly speaking, enjoy home rights in London.

As in the previous two seasons, two matches of the Regular Season will be played on Mexican soil. The Orlando Magic play two of their 41 home games in Mexico City. On December 13, 2017, the Chicago Bulls were guests in the Mexican capital around former Slam Dunk champion Zach LaVine. Two days later, on December 15, 2017, the Magic will receive the Utah Jazz with Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.
Ticket sales will start in autumn, but fans can already get into a good starting position by registering on NBA.com/London.
In Germany, however, no match of the Regular Season has yet been played. However, some teams were already guests in Germany as part of the preparations.
