New England Patriots and superstar tight-end Rob Gronkowski have agreed to restructure the contract. Ian Rapoport reports that. According to this, Gronk will be able to earn a maximum of 13.3 million dollars in 2018.
Gronkovski’s new working paper contains 3.3 million dollars in bonus payments. There will be $1.1 million each for 70 catches, 1,085 receiving yards, more than eight touchdowns and 80 percent of the offensive snaps that require him on the field. Gronk will receive the maximum amount if he achieves three of the goals.
The 29-year-old was part of five all-pro teams and participated in five pro bowls. In the low season he reached 69 receptions for 1,084 yards and collected eight touchdowns.
Gronkowski is considered the best tight end in the league, but since 2011 he has not played in all 16 regular season games. Again and again problems on his knees, elbows or back held him back.
Gronkowski also announced his resignation after losing Super Bowl in February. Eventually, however, he only missed the voluntary minicamp.
