NFL: Rams provide star players with monster contract

The Los Angeles Rams have agreed with Aaron Donald on a contract extension that will take effect next summer. The franchise announced this in an official announcement.

The new contract of Defensive Tackle binds him to the franchise until 2024. According to corresponding media reports, the new deal is worth 135 million US dollars, of which 87 million are supposed to be guaranteed. In addition, Donald apparently receives a signing bonus of 40 million US dollars.

Donald was drafted by the Rams in 2014 and was voted NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in his first season. He was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year in the 2016/17 season. Together with Ndamukong Suh and Michael Brockers Donald is part of one of the strongest D-lines of the league.
