NBA: Media: Suns knocked on Lillard’s door

After the trade from Brandon Knight to Houston, the Phoenix Suns are looking for a new point guard to start. The Suns are said to have knocked on Damian Lillard, Kemba Walker and Terry Rozier’s door – but without success.

This is reported by John Gambadoro of Arizona 98.7. “They definitely tried to get a star on Point Guard,” the Suns-insider reported. However, the search was probably not crowned with success. At Lillard (Portland), Walker (Charlotte) and Rozier (Boston) the Suns bit on granite.

After Knight’s trade, for which Power Forward Ryan Anderson came to the desert, only two very inexperienced players, rookie Ellie Okobo and Shaquille Harrison, are available for the one. Adrian Wojnarowski (ESPN) also reported that Phoenix is eager to get another playmaker.

But it is also possible that Devin Booker will spend more time on the one. Last season, the high-end shooter took on more responsibility as a ball handler with 4.7 assists per game and a usage rate of 31.7 percent.
