NBA: Kerr on boogie: “Right on schedule

DeMarcus cousins of the Golden State Warriors continues to work hard on his comeback after his Achilles tendon rupture. It is still unclear when the center for the champion can appear, but coach Steve Kerr now admitted confident.

“He’s right on schedule and hasn’t had any setbacks yet,” Steve Kerr told Mark Medina of Mercury News. When the Big can be back on the field is still unclear.

“There is nothing more to say, there is no prediction,” Kerr made clear. “In an Achilles tendon injury, you always have to wait and see how the player reacts when he is back on the field.”

Cousins signed with the Warriors for a year and $5.3 million this summer after no other team wanted to offer the center a long-term deal. At New Orleans Pelicans, the Big played 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game until his injury in January.
