NBA: Russell aggressive: “Best form of my life”

D’Angelo Russell wants to step on the gas again in his last year of contract. After his best friend Devin Booker has signed a maximum contract with the Phoenix Suns, the Brooklyn Nets Point Guard is also aiming for a strong payday.

Just a year ago, Russell was traded to Brooklyn by the Los Angeles Lakers, who selected him in second place in the 2015 draft. However, in his first season in the Nets jersey, the 22-year-old missed 34 games due to a knee injury.

“Honestly, I’m the best place ever,” Russell told Michael Scotto of The Athletic, “I see my best friend signing a maximum contract. I know where I come from. That’s all the motivation I need.”

Russell invested a lot of work in his game during the offseason to cause a furore again in his last year of contract. “I wake up every morning feeling in the best condition of my life. The sky is the limit.”
