The Buffalo Bills have appointed Nathan Peterman as their starting quarterback. Equally important, rookie Josh Allen first has to take a seat on the bench.

The decision as to which quarterback the Bills will play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 has been made. Nathan Peterman is cleared for action, according to a report from the team.

Peterman joined the Bills in last year’s draft and played two games in the pre-season. However, the start against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11 was the one the fans remembered. Peterman threw 5 interceptions in the first half and was replaced.

Peterman has thrown during a good preseason for 431 yards and 80.4 percent completion percentage as well as three touchdowns and an interception. Rookie Allen, by comparison, only brought 54.5 percent of his passes to fellow players.

The quarterback triathlon of the Bills has shrunk to a duel on Sunday. The Bills traded A.J. McCarron for a five-round pick to the Oakland Raiders.
