NBA: Wolves before meeting Luol Deng

According to media reports, the Minnesota Timberwolves have expressed their interest in Free Agent Luol Deng. The 33-year-old had recently agreed a buyout with the Los Angeles Lakers.

This is reported by Marc Stein (New York Times) and Shams Charania (The Athletic). According to Charania, the parties will meet this week to discuss possible cooperation.

The forward and the Lakers agreed on a buyout at the weekend, forgoing a lot of money. Deng signed for four years and $72 million in the City of Angels in 2016, but played just 57 games for the glamour franchise.

In Minnesota, the 33-year-old could meet some familiar faces. In addition to coach Tom Thibodeau, Jimmy Butler, Derrick Rose and Taj Gibson have several former Bulls players in the squad. The Wolves may also be interested in Joakim Noah of the New York Knicks, who may soon be fired.
