NBA: Deng signs one-year contract in Minnesota

Free Agent Luol Deng has signed a one-year contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. This was officially announced by the franchise on Monday.

As NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic reported, the 33-year-old signed with the Wolves for a year and $2.4 million.

In the Minnesota franchise, the veteran will not only work with his ex-bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, but also with his former Chicago teammates Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson.

Deng had previously agreed with the Lakers on a buyout in which he gave up a lot of money in favour of more playing time. Born in Southern Sudan, he signed for four years and $72 million in the City of Angels in 2016, but was only on the stage for a total of 57 games.
