NFL: Curious! Raiders apparently bring Bryant back

The Oakland Raiders are once again making a curious headline: Only a few days after the team split up with Martavis Bryant, the Wide Receiver seems to be on the verge of signing again in Oakland.

Just ten days earlier, the Raiders had fired Bryant after only paying a third-round pick in the spring to get the receiver out of Pittsburgh.

Now, according to NFL network insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, after another meeting, everything quickly indicated that both sides were agreeing on a new one-year contract. The agreement was reached a little later, according to agreed reports.

One of the reasons for the dismissal is said to have been the fact that Bryant is once again threatened with a prolonged suspension. At least so far there has been no change in this respect, and apparently the Raiders are now more willing to try again with the talented receiver after the initial bankruptcy against the Rams.

After Oakland’s passing game against the Rams was desolate over long stretches, coach Jon Gruden seems to want to give his offense even more explosiveness. According to the reports, Bryant will play directly against the Broncos again in their second game.
