NBA: Heat draw team option at Adebayo

Miami Heat announced in a press release that the team of head coach Erik Spoelstra has activated the team option of Big Man Bam Adebayo. This leaves Adebayo in Florida for at least another two years.

The Heat voted the center 14th in the 2017 draft. In his rookie season, the 21-year-old played 69 games, averaging 6.9 points and 5.5 rebounds in just under 20 minutes.

Apparently the Heat were so satisfied with Adebayo that they early drew the team option for the third year of his rookie contract. The Big Man will earn about $6.3 million in the next two seasons.
