MLB: NY: Injured stars make progress

Positive news from the New York Yankee hospital: The convalescents Aaron Judge and Aroldis Chapman completed a simulated game at Yankee Stadium on Monday without any problems.

Outfielder Judge, who was activated by the Disabled List on Friday but is not yet allowed to beat back in the game, played right-handers A.J. Cole and Chance Adams and Minor-League lefty Phillip Diehl for At-Bats.

Closer Chapman, in turn, threw 22 pitches against left-handed Tyler Wade and right-handed Kyle Higashioka. Both of them did not report any physical difficulties afterwards.

Commenting on his progress after the wrist fracture in July, Judge said: “When I have the first At Bat behind me, it will be as if I have never been away”.

Chapman, on the other hand, is “very optimistic” that he will be back on the mound before the end of the season after his knee problems. He already completed a bullpen session on Saturday without any problems.
