NBA: Media: Butler wants to join the Heat

Jimmy Butler apparently told the Minnesota Timberwolves that he would prefer a trade to the Miami Heat. The Los Angeles Clippers and Brooklyn Nets don’t seem to be interested in Butler anymore.

As Marc Stein of The New York Times reports, Butler and his agent Bernie Lee have informed the Timberwolves that the 29-year-old would favor a trade to the Heat.

According to media reports, this list included the Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks.

But now the Heat seem to be in the Shooting Guard’s favour. Earlier this week, there were rumors that Miami was “very aggressive” in trade talks. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, intensive talks are still going on.

The Clippers and Nets have obviously rejected a possible trade for Butler. As Wojnarowski adds on Twitter, the teams did not find a common denominator in talks with the Timberwolves.

Meanwhile, the New York Post confirmed that a deal between Brooklyn and Minnesota was not imminent. On the contrary, he is very unlikely at the present time.
