NFL: Steelers want 2nd round pick for Bell

The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced their award for Le’Veon Bell. The franchise wants to receive at least one 2nd round pick for the inactive running back if a team wants to engage the pro bowler in a trade.

The Steelers are finally ready to part with Le’Veon Bell and have apparently fixed a price. According to a report by Ian Rapoport it should be a 2nd round pick for which the franchise is ready to let the running back go.

A running back deal would have to be made by 30 October, when the trade deadline will be. So far there have been no offers that would have been interesting for the Steelers.

If a trade were to take place, Bell would have to make a verbal commitment to sign the franchise day under which he currently does not want to play for the Steelers. It’s in the books with $14.54 million.

Bell would also have to sign the tender by 13 November of the year, otherwise it could again receive the franchise day from a team under the same conditions in the following season. So far, the 28-year-old has already waived 3.4 million dollars.
