NBA: Clippers still in the race for Butler

The Los Angeles Clippers apparently continue to have great interest in Jimmy Butler. According to a media report, the Clippers and the Minnesota Timberwolves have been talking again about a possible trade in recent days.

Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports this. However, the price the Timberwolves are demanding for the 29-year-old is still too high, so no agreement has yet been reached.

Team President and Head Coach Tom Thibodeau apparently wants to get Tobias Harris off the West Coast and get several draft picks. According to Haynes, both sides have proposed different trade packages, but the Clippers do not wish to sell Harris under any circumstances.

The Clippers are said to be one of Bulter’s preferred trade destinations. The Miami Heat have also been accused of great interest in the Shooting Guard over the past few days. However, Thibs still hopes to convince Jimmy Buckets to stay in Minnesota, Haynes said.
