NBA: Thibs confirms talks on Butler Trade

Team President and Head Coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters on Friday that the Minnesota Timberwolves are in talks about a trade from Jimmy Butler.

“Of course, we’re trying to do something,” Thibs explained. Talks are underway with various teams about a possible trade package for the Shooting Guard, the 60-year-old continues.

Thibodeau, however, did not comment on which teams the Timberwolves are currently negotiating with. In recent days it has become known that the Los Angeles Clippers are involved in talks. Also the Miami Heat is said to be of great interest.

“We’re trying to make the most of it for the team,” Thibodeau said. Butler is still officially part of the Timberwolves, but he will not participate in the training camp after demanding a trade a few weeks ago.
