NBA: China Games: Mavericks vs. Sixers

Today, Monday, October 8th, at 2 pm, the second preseason game of the Dallas Mavericks against the Philadelphia 76ers in the China Games is scheduled. SPOX provides you with the most important information about the game and tells you where you can watch the game live on TV or livestream.

After a 120-114 defeat to Philadelphia 76ers in the first game of this year’s China Games, Dallas Mavericks are now looking to win their second appearance in Asia. In preparation for the season, the Mavs and Sixers will play two preseason games in China.

Last Friday’s first match was in Shanghai and today’s match will be in Shenzhen. With the China Games, the NBA wants to further increase its popularity in Asia. Over the past 14 years, the Association has played a total of 25 preseason games in China.

Tip-Off of the game is today Monday at 14 o’clock German time. The Mavs and the Sixers compete at the Shenzhen Universiade Center, which seats some 18,000 fans.

Just like the first game of the China Games, today’s duel between the Mavericks and Sixers can also be seen on the DAZN streaming portal. Commentator is Alex Schlüter, Dre Voigt will support him as an expert.

In addition to the NBA, DAZN also features the NFL, NHL and MLB as well as numerous football leagues. Since the current season, the “Netflix des Sports” also has a large part of the Champions League and all Europa League games. The offer costs 9.99 Euro per month and can be cancelled at any time. The first month is even free for you. Click here for the free trial month.

As in the first encounter with the Philadelphia 76ers, Dirk Nowitzki will not be available to the Mavs in today’s duel. After an ankle surgery in April, the German experienced a setback last week.

How long Nowitzki will be out of action and whether even the Mavs’ season start on 17 October is in danger is not yet clear. The head coach of the Mavericks, Rick Carlisle, did not make a very positive forecast: “It will not be days, but weeks before he can return to the court.”
