NBA: Phoenix Suns with interest in Crawford

Jamal Crawford is still without a new contract. The veteran is said to have received an offer from the Phoenix Suns and has already been spotted in Arizona.

This reports John Gambadoro of 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports. Crawford already met with the team on Friday and had a conversation with interim GM James Jones. The team is very interested that the 38-year-old could join the team.

“I like Jamal, I know him personally. He’s a good player and a good person,” Jones told the radio station. “He’s one of the players we’re gonna be looking at all season. We’re interested, but he’s just one of several candidates.”

Should Crawford actually opt for the Suns, the veteran would probably come to the minimum, which is 2.4 million dollars this season. Crawford played for the Minnesota Timberwolves last season with 10.3 points and 2.3 assists per game.
