NBA: NBA start live today: Curry, Durant and Co. start into the season

Here we go again! In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday the NBA season 2018/19 starts in the Regular Season and has the first cracker games ready. Here you get an overview of the start of the best basketball league in the world.

On the very first night of the new season, four potential finalists will be on the pitch.

Before the defending champions and top favourites Golden State Warriors meet Kevin Durant’s former team, the game kicks off in the East, which many experts also expect in the Conference Finals.

The DAZN streaming service shows a total of 189 games in full length in the regular season alone. The two Season Openers will also be broadcast by DAZN. In the game Boston vs. Philadelphia Freddy Harder and Alex Vogel accompany you at the microphone, for the encounter Golden State vs. Oklahoma City Alex Schlüter and Dre Voigt are responsible.

This season again the big question is: Who can stop the Golden State Warriors? In the last years the best chances were mostly with the Cleveland Cavaliers, which would be content after the departure of LeBron James however probably already with a playoff participation.

James’ new team is now called Los Angeles Lakers. And as recent years have shown, the mere presence of the King is enough to turn a weak team into a candidate for the title. In the unbelievably well occupied West it will be difficult for the team from L.A., but the participation in the Conference Finals is quite trustworthy for them.

The Houston Rockets failed in these last year. With James Harden and Chris Paul the most important supporters of the team stayed on board and Clint Capela could also be convinced to stay. In addition, Carmelo Anthony, a multiple All-Star, joined the squad, but he still has to prove that he can really help a team in terms of championship titles.

In addition to the teams already mentioned, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Utah Jazz and the Minnesota Timberwolves also have quiet hopes for a (more than) good season in the West – with the New Orleans Pelicans, the San Antonio Spurs and the Utah Jazz, further teams are added that are anything but cannon fodder for the Warriors.

In the east the teams are not quite so well positioned in the width, but at the top a triathlon is likely, whose winner in the finals against each West team should have a chance.

The Boston Celtics are the top favourite not only because of the fact that they were in the Conference Finals last year. Also because Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, two players who missed last year’s complete playoffs with injuries, are added to the list with Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, the Celtics are many experts high on the list.

The Philadelphia 76ers, who have a very young team that already indicated their potential last year and now wants to take the next step, are considered to be the worst competitor. The duel with the Celtics already has a long history and could write the next chapter this year.

But also the Toronto Raptors are not to be neglected. Kawhi Leonard came to Canada by monster trade for Demar DeRozan, who, however, still has to show that he can continue his old form from the days of Spur. If this succeeds, the long-awaited finals participation could still work out.
