Yesterday night the NBA started into the new season and today it goes straight on. Among others: the Dallas Mavericks! SPOX shows you where you can watch the game of the Mavs with Maxi Kleber and Co. tonight in the livestream.
For Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks the first game will be away. In the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, a duel with the Phoenix Suns takes place within the Western Conference. While it is just evening in America, the sun is almost rising in Germany at the tip-off (4.30 a.m. CET).
In Germany, the first game of the Dallas Mavericks season will not be free of charge. Although SPOX broadcasts a game every Sunday in the free livestream and DAZN also shows a total of 189 games of the regular season, but not the game of the Mavericks with the Suns.
If you still want to watch the game, you can do so with the NBA League Pass. A day subscription costs 5,99 Euro, the whole season 199,99 Euro. If you only want to watch the games of the Dallas Mavericks, the NBA also has a special offer: For 114.99 Euros you can watch every game of a selected team, but the other games will be denied.
The first Mavericks game of the new season will have an almost historical background. Dirk Nowitzki goes into his 21st NBA season and each one of them with the Dallas Mavericks (NBA record). For the very first time, however, the German will come most of the time from the bank – provided he is fit again. Because currently the German cannot run for the Mavs due to pain in the Achilles tendon.
The reasons why he will come from the bank in the future include the advanced age of Nowitzkis as well as the obligations of DeAndre Jordan and Luka Doncic. While the former will take the position of the 40-year-old, the hopes of the entire franchise rest on the latter. In third place, he was selected by the Mavs in this year’s draft and already has the title of EuroLeague MVP in his CV – at just 19!
After two seasons without playoffs, the signs in Texas are now clearly on attack again. The biggest problem of the team at the moment is unfortunately the conference. In the east, the Mavs may even be lucky enough to play for the home advantage in the playoffs, but in the west, the density of playoff candidates is higher than ever before. For this very reason a victory against the direct conference opponent from Phoenix would be doubly important.
