The first two NBA nights are over, but the biggest debut awaits us. LeBron James meets tonight with his Los Angeles Lakers on the Portland Trail Blazers. Here you can find out everything about the game and the transmission in the livestream.
For the Los Angeles Lakers, the new NBA season begins away. At 4.30 a.m. German time the King and his new team will meet the Trail Blazers at the Moda Center in Portland.
The game of the Lakers against the Trail Blazers is one of a total of 189 games, which are broadcast in the regular season by the streaming service DAZN. Lukas Schönmüller and Alexander Vogel accompany the game from the commentator’s place.
In addition, SPOX shows every Sunday an NBA game for free in the livestream. An overview of all games transferred by DAZN and SPOX can be found here.
Besides the NBA DAZN also offers the NFL, NHL and MLB. The streaming service will also be showing selected Champions League matches and all Europa League players live for the first time this season. For only 9,99 Euro per month you can get your subscription, the first month is even free.
Probably no other player has dominated the league as consistently as LeBron James in the last 15 years. Whether Miami or Cleveland, he led his team to the finals eight years in a row and secured three titles there. This year, too, his plan is not to retire in the first three playoff rounds.
However, LeBron has played without exception in the Eastern Conference in his career to date, which is usually considered to be the weaker of the two leagues. This year, the King has to assert himself for the first time in the West, which is also probably more strongly occupied than it has been for a long time. Among other things, LeBron could face the Golden State Warriors in the playoffs, the defending champions and absolute top favourites.
But we are still a long way from reaching this stage. First of all, the newly formed Lakers team has to get into the game, qualify for the playoffs in the regular season and work out a good starting position for the postseason. They should start right tonight – with a win against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Los Angeles Lakers have chosen two German talents for the draft 2018: Moritz Wagner (25th pick) and Isaac Bonga (39th pick). However, Wagner will miss the start of the season at LeBron James’ side. The center currently has problems with the left knee and will fail for the time being. Whether Bonga will celebrate his debut for Los Angeles in the night on Friday is not yet certain.
