NBA: Embiid Receives Warning for Acting

Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers has received a warning from the NBA for not respecting the anti-flopping rules. In return, a technical foul on Andre Drummond was taken back.

In the Philadelphia 76ers and Detroit Pistons game, Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond had previously been in a fight, which ended with two technical fouls and immediate elimination from the Pistons Center game.

As the NBA now admitted, Embiid is said to have simulated the second ‘T’. But he himself saw it quite differently: “His hand clearly touches my face. There were many hidden fouls in this game and the referee told me before that there will be a technical foul in the next action. That’s why he had to leave the field.”

After the match, the two centers had also had a verbal argument, in which Embiid claimed, among other things, that he was in Drummond’s head and that he could not defend him. Drummond answered via Twitter: “Really? If he was, he wouldn’t have been so happy I had to leave. That’s a stupid statement. I’ll take the win, enjoy the flight home, actor.”
