The Houston Rockets have suffered their fifth defeat in the sixth game against Portland Trail Blazers. Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni went to court with his team after the match.
“Last year we played good basketball. But at the moment we’re playing absolute garbage together,” D’Antoni told the media after the game against Portland. This lost the Rockets with 85:104 and wait with it further for the first victory in the domestic Toyota Center.
“I’m just as frustrated as anybody else here. We must finally deliver results. We need to get better and I need to get better.”
The Rockets have lost their five games with an average of 14.4 points, in addition the Rockets have so far collected a whopping 118.8 points per game (25th place). It should also not be forgotten that James Harden missed the second game in a row due to a thigh injury. It is still unclear when the incumbent MVP will be able to stand on the court again.
Without Harden the Offense of the Rockets visibly faltered. Especially the two former All-Stars, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony, had big problems. Against the Blazers, they scored just eight of their 31 throws for a meager 25 points.
Maybe the Rocket game board will help a little now. Although the next two games are away, Brooklyn (2-5) and Chicago (2-5), two of the weaker teams of the still young season, are waiting.
