A.J. Green of the Cincinnati Bengals may need surgery. The Superstar-Wide-Receiver injured himself in Week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Green initially said the injury wasn’t serious, but his foot had been in a splint since the Tampa match. It has been clear for some time that the wide receiver will miss several games, but the Bengals hoped that Green would not have to be operated.

The video out will be examined next week by Dr. Robert Anderson, a Green Bay specialist, whereupon the parties will make a final decision. According to the latest media reports, however, there are some indications that surgical intervention is necessary.

To lose Green over an even longer period of time would certainly be a bitter setback for the Bengals. The Wide Receiver is the clear number one in Cincinnati’s Offense and joins an already well-filled hospital with Tyler Eifert, Giovani Bernard, Tyler Kroft, John Ross and Billy Price.
