NBA: 75 points! Jimmer Fredette rocks in China

Jimmer Fredette continues to shoot the lights out in China. On Sunday, the former Lottery Pick scored a full 75 points, but in the end his Shanghai Sharks lost by a very narrow margin.

In the 136-137 defeat of the Sharks, Fredette scored 40 points in the fourth quarter alone, a new league record. Shortly before the end, Fredette seemed to become a hero when he sunk a wild basket for a two-point lead.

However, Pierre Jackson countered this with 7.2 seconds and a threesome to win. “I still haven’t come to terms with this defeat,” Fredette said after the game via social media. “But it was an incredible game. I’m proud of our boys that we fought like this.”

In the end Fredette scored 75 points (24/34 FG, 7/10 threes, 20/21 FT), 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals.

Fredette has been active in China since 2016 and has been the darling of the public ever since. This season, the Guard will play 38.3 points per game and lead the league with 3.9 steals per game.

Fredette was the tenth pick in the draft in 2011, when the Milwaukee beat Bucks, but immediately sent the college star on to Sacramento. However, the former BYU star never made the breakthrough. In addition to his engagement with the Kings, Fredette also performed for the Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans and the New York Knicks.
