NBA: Media: Melo is already looking for a new team

It seems Carmelo Anthony won’t be playing for the Houston Rockets anymore. According to media reports, Melo’s consultants are feverishly looking for a new team for the forward behind the scenes.

This is what Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Anthony’s not with the Houston Rockets right now, officially because of illness. But the truth is that Houston would like to give Melo away as soon as possible, as reported this weekend.

Whether Melo will be sold through a buyout or trade, on the other hand, is still completely unclear. Anthony only came from the Atlanta Hawks in the summer after the Oklahoma City Thunder had traded the former All-Star to Georgia. With the Hawks Melo quickly agreed on a buyout and did not play a game for the franchise.

In Houston, however, it seems to be clear that the experiment with Anthony has failed. In the past two games, defensively better rookie Gary Clark got most of Anthony’s minutes instead.

The 2003 No.3 pick averaged 13.4 points for the rockets in ten games, but hit only 40.5 percent from the field.
