NFL: Bills dismissed quarterback Nathan Peterman

The Buffalo Bills finally pulled the rip cord: Buffalo split late Monday night with quarterback Nathan Peterman.

The 24-year-old had repeatedly attracted attention with turnovers due to several quarterback injuries at Buffalo this season, and last Sunday he was replaced by Matt Barkley, who had only just been signed – with whom Buffalo promptly clinched a completely unexpected 41-10 victory over a desolate jet team.

This was obviously enough for the coaches to separate from Peterman and start the season with Barkley as a new backup and possibly also as a temporary starter. Currently, however, Buffalo hopes that both Derek Anderson and rookie Josh Allen will be fit again soon.

Peterman, who was drafted by the Bills in the fifth round of 2017, ends his Bills career with three touchdown passes and twelve interceptions in 130 pass attempts in total. In the current season he had thrown over 81 passes seven picks.
