NFL: Out of season for Le’Veon Bell of the Steelers

Le’Veon Bell didn’t sign his $14.5 million franchise day with the Pittsburgh Steelers. So the running back missed the last deadline. He is not allowed to play this season. The Steelers have James Conner on standby to replace Bell.

Last week team owner Art Rooney II at SiriusXM NFL Radio said: “I don’t know his plans. But I’d say we expect him back at this point next week. We know he’s back in Pittsburgh and hope we can get in touch with him over the weekend. I’d say we expect him back next week.”
