DeAndre Jordan was the most prominent new addition to the Free Agency at the Dallas Mavericks. So far, however, the center has only been able to meet expectations to a limited extent. According to media reports, the Mavs are a little resentful about DJs.
That’s what Tim MacMahon of ESPN reports. According to the report, Jordan is “a single disappointment” in Dallas so far, who is said to have already annoyed some of the other players. Some players consider the center to be “selfish”.
Above all, the hunt for stats, especially rebounds is supposed to upset some in the organization. Jordan, for example, had pushed Luka Doncic away last, so that he could collect a rebound completely unchallenged. At the same time Jordan should not have really found his role in the team yet. The center is supposed to anchor the defense of the Mavs, but had great weaknesses in the Help Defense so far.
Jordan moved in the summer from the Los Angeles Clippers to Dallas, where he signed a one-year contract for about $24 million. In 13 games so far, the Big has played 11.2 points and 13.7 rebounds on average.
