NBA: Bucks have to do without centers for a long time

Bad news for the Milwaukee Bucks. Center John Henson must be operated, as the team announced in an official statement. According to this, the Big had already torn a band in his left wrist about two weeks ago.

According to the Bucks, Henson injured himself in the Portland away game on 6 November and then played three more games before Henson complained of pain against Memphis before the game. Only then did the Bucks’ doctors determine the injury.

According to information from Shams Charania (The Athletic), Henson will be out of action for at least three months, and a return after the All-Star Break at the end of February is expected.

“That’s really hard,” moaned colleague Brook Lopez in an interview with Malika Andrews (ESPN). “He put in a lot of effort and also threw well,” reported the man who pushed Henson onto the bench this season. In all 14 games, Henson von der Bank started, with the center hitting 5.6 points and 5.1 rebounds on average.

Thon Maker took Henson’s place in the rotation when he beat the Bulls. The big player, who plays for Australia, scored 9 points (3/10 FG) and 3 rebounds in 18 minutes.
